The Gospel of the Kingdom

The goal of the gospel of God is to save us into the kingdom of God. In Luke 4:43, the Lord Jesus said, “I just announce the gospel of the kingdom of God,” indicating that the kingdom is the center of the gospel. The kingdom of God is the ruling, the reigning, of God, with all its blessing and enjoyment. The reason that God forgives us of our sins, cleanses us, gives us life, sends His Spirit into us, and makes us cleansed and enlivened persons is to save us into His kingdom. As His kingdom  people, we can live a life that is righteous toward ourselves, peaceful with others, and joyful in the Holy Spirit before God (Romans 14:17). If today we exercise to be under God’s heavenly ruling, then one day He will cause us to rule and reign with His beloved Son. We should all be encouraged to learn to live such a life today!

And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole inhabited earth for a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come  – Matthew 24:14
