God’s law as His living Word is a blessing to His loving seekers in Psalm 119:

  3. To restore man’s soul and make man’s heart joyous – 19:7, 8

  6. To uphold us, keep us safe, and cause us to hope – 119:116, 117, 49
  7. To enjoy God as our portion – 119:57
  8. To enjoy God’s countenanceand the shining of Hisface – 119:58, 135
  9. To enjoy God as our hiding place and shield (v. 114) andalso enjoy God’s help and well-dealing – 119:114, 175, 65
  10. To make us wise and give us understanding -119:98, 99
  11. To give us proper discernment and knowledge – 119:66
  12. To keep us from sinning and from every evil way -119:11, 101
  13. As God’s living word, the law keeps us from stumbling, establishes our footsteps, and causes us to overcome iniquity – 119:165, 133
